Members of the Israeli government and IDF have made the absurd statement of seeking US permission to move the Palestinian people out of their homeland in Gaza. The politicians are floundering in the polls and will say anything to seek votes. Netanyahu’s statement that Hamas and Hezbollah will be destroyed is silly and meaningless. Peace negotiations must listen to everyone. Israel must remember that Mossad has often behaved like a terrorist organisation killing anyone and everyone suspected of getting in its way. Israel must avoid playing the victim. The Palestinians are the victims and must be given their independence.
Recently a totally impartial aid coordinator has stated that people in Gaza have been deprived of the right to live in any sense of propriety. In the last few weeks Israel has cut down on their water supply. All this is happening in order to force the Palestinians to leave Gaza. There is evidence that Benjamin Netanyahu was aware of the threat from Hamas in October 2023 but did nothing to stop this. Many well-informed analysts have said this previously. Netanyahu wanted any excuse to invade Gaza.
Israel has illegally occupied Palestinian territory since 1967 so the aim now is to take all of Gaza! Israel has absolutely no claim, biblical or otherwise, to Palestine. All parts of the Middle East have been occupied at various times by Pagans, Christians, Arabs and Jews.
President Trump must realize that displacing the Palestinians would be a war crime. Trump has had a mixed record since the start of his second term. He has stopped illegal migration into the US however the Iran war has achieved nothing but death in Lebanon and closure of the Strait of Hormuz. If Iran restarts negotiations some light might be seen at the end of the Strait. If Trump however was to collaborate with Israel in a war crime, then his legacy will be dire.
The Arab states must rally around Gaza. The Palestinian Authority must show leadership. Hamas and Hezbollah must agree a way forward. Nobody should have to tolerate the present situation in Gaza or the West Bank. The Palestinians need support to oust Israeli settlers and soldiers, preferably by diplomatic means.
The UK has finally taken some action against Israel’s genocide in Gaza and the West Bank. Sanctions will be imposed on goods and services from illegal West Bank and East Jerusalem settlements. Twelve countries are now imposing sanctions on Israel. It is likely that the EU leadership and Canada will follow with similar sanctions.
Israel is now threatening the UK. In the US, Hollywood actors have reported intimidation because of their support for the Palestinians. Anyone opposing Israel is branded antisemitic. Israel has totally breached international law and has ignored the Peace Process brokered by the US. Civilians are killed almost every day in Gaza, the West Bank and Lebanon.
The US ambassador to Israel has a duty to stop talking hot air! He must realize that Israel leadership is displaying a grave character flaw.- The impulse to belittle and kill regardless of the innocence of victims. The IDF is training men and women to be brutal, lacking any sense of humanity. This will haunt Israelis in the years to come. It must stop now. Israel must compensate the Palestinian people for lives lost and children irrevocably maimed and injured during the utter destruction of Gaza. Former President Biden advised Israel not to seek retaliation following October 7. If only Israeli politicians and IDF had listened and avoided their totally inappropriate response.
Enough is enough. Israel must not hold the world to ransom. Israel cannot be allowed to behave in a lawless bullying and brutal inhumane way. Israeli law must bow to international law. If settlements are erected that subdivides the proposed state of Palestine, Israel must remove these. President Trump must act with courage. He must not be intimidated by the Israeli faction in Congress.
A true and viable peaceful solution is required in Gaza, the West Bank, East Jerusalem and Lebanon. Gaza must have its own state.
The people of Israel must change their government. They surely realize that the Palestinian people cannot be degraded as were their own Jewish forbears who suffered in the Holocaust. If Israelis do not show the Palestinians the respect and rights they want for themselves well then the world will descend into total anarchy and narcissism. Israelis must vote for humane leaders. If they do not, then innocent Jews worldwide will be afraid to declare their Judaism which is a desperate situation.
Whatever happens in the Israeli elections the Arab states should show leadership. Iran, Hamas and Hezbollah must come to some peaceful co-existence with Israel however distasteful that would be. Iran could avoid retaliation to US assaults even though these are inappropriate and costly. Iran could prove Trump wrong by negotiating prior to the US elections. The US must pay compensation for attacking Iran and the ensuing state disruption.
The people of the Middle East have suffered enough. A new world order is necessary but peace is the only game in town.
