There is a peace process allegedly in force in Gaza and Lebanon. The US ambassador to Israel says that the peace is holding but he obviously is confused. There have been almost 2000 deaths in Gaza since the alleged peace process began. There are bodies found daily under the rubble in Gaza. Israeli politicians must, as Germany requested, stop referring to Palestinians as animals. This reflects on the barbarity and ignorance of Israel, and cannot be tolerated.
The US has now apparently approved a supply of bombs to Israel! This may or may not be fake news. Why is the US sending bombs to Israel? ? The UN has accused the US of war crimes in Iran. War crimes are being committed by Israel in Gaza and Lebanon so the US is complicit in these too.
It is obscene to escalate tension in the Middle East by sending bombs to Israel. It is important to reflect what munitions are doing to Sudan, Haiti and the Congo.
Israel is clearly not adhering to any rules of law be it local or international law. Palestinian and Lebanese civilians are being targeted daily by Israeli settlers and Israeli soldiers. Most of the people in Gaza are living in tents. Buildings in Gaza are unstable, destroyed by Israeli strikes meaning civilians are always at risk of death following structural collapse. Pending reconstruction tents must be replaced by modular homes. Instead of squandering money on munitions this money must be made available for rehousing in Gaza.
The Middle East is in turmoil mostly due to the ill-advised US/ Israeli attack on Iran. Israel, as indicated by the conflict with Neturei Karta, has been destabilizing the Middle East well before 1948 and continues to try to destabilize Styria and Lebanon in an effort to grab land. Israel must not be allowed to expand beyond Israel’s very generous borders.
The EU leadership has behaved appallingly badly. It has stood by while the Palestinians are picked off by Israeli drones. Action must be taken to save the Palestinian people from further war crimes. The huge number of children with amputations needs world assistance. Humanitarian aid must be increased for Gaza.
The UN general assembly will shortly have an opportunity to bring Iran and the US negotiators together. The Assembly must insist that the peace processes in Gaza and Lebanon are meaningfully adhered to by sending a peacekeeping force into Gaza. The Palestinian Authority must attend the UN meeting otherwise there will be no meaningful Palestinian representation. Israeli members will continue to deny everything. Conflict has to end, however much Hamas and Israel dislike each other.
The Arab nations must seek peace by negotiation. Israel must get out of Gaza, the West Bank and Lebanon. It is imperative that this occurs. Hamas and Hezbollah must have an input. Israel cannot claim the moral high ground on terrorism.
The UK needs to back up its action against Israel not just with sanctions but by demanding a peacekeeping force in Gaza and a withdrawal of Israeli troops back to Israel’s borders.
Elections in Israel will show if the Israeli people realise the full extent of their government’s genocide.
Israel dragged Trump into a disastrous war. If he is wise he will lift sanctions on Iran and lift the blockade on the Strait of Hormuz. There is still time for Trump to do a deal. Trump must show leadership and impartiality. He must get the Strait open, calm the Arab states and rebuild Gaza. Hamas must be consulted in order to get a stable two state solution for Palestinians and Israelis. That is the only way forward. Israel must cooperate with efforts to bring about peace. TV has shown Israel’s culpability in genocide and terrorism. Nonetheless Israel must be allowed to live in peace within its own borders. Syria has shown leadership. Israel must stop its nationalistic rhetoric and agree a peaceful way forward.
