Eisenkot could make history and achieve peace and justice in Israel.

The people of Israel have spoken. Eisenkot has got around 49 seats. The Arab  parties have secured around 17 seats.  Eisenkot pre-election said that he would not form a coalition with the Arab parties but he needs to be brave.  Like the Unionist leader David Trimble in Northern Ireland in 1998, Eisenkot must take a gamble for peace. David Trimble did get a Nobel Peace Prize but  most of all he  helped achieve a priceless peace in Northern Ireland.

Eisenkot must get Benjamin Netanyahu and his cabinet out of office. BN apparently let October 7th happen and sacrificed his own Israeli people in order to attack Hamas. When former President Biden told him not to repeat the US mistakes in Iraq by seeking revenge on the Palestinian peeople, BN  ignored him.   BN  said there would be all-out war and so it has happened.  75,000 Palestinian lives have been lost and thousands of Palestinian children have lost limbs.  BN has presided over a society marked by injustice, fear and death. This cannot go on.  Israel has lost all credibility.

The people  of Israel want an end to war.  They cannot spend their nights in bunkers.

The Middle East can conflagrate or  integrate into a tolerant coalition of democratic  states.

By an alliance with the Palestinian parties Eisenkot can make Israel a truly fair and democratic state.

Following the foolish Israeli/US attack on Iran, the world economy is in a poor state. This can be reversed if the US cooperates with Turkey’s attempts to bring peace to the Middle East.

Iran wants peace. Hamas and Hezbollah have no personnel or gun reserves. They too need to embrace a peaceful solution to years of siege, war and deprivation. The people in Gaza, the West Bank and Lebanon deserve  peace and their own homeland.

Eisenkot is a military man who has suffered personal tragedy.  He needs to  seek advice on how to bring all people together in this cauldron of ethnic sensibilities.  This will be difficult but not impossible.

Israel must learn to stay within its own boundaries.  Calling Palestinians animals, reflects very badly on the Likud party.  They must educate themselves  and stop being primitive.   What must a psychiatrist think of  BN and colleagues?  What must the God of Israel whom they claim to believe in, think of their pronouncements and antics?   Land grabbing must stop.  Killing and maiming Palestinians will only alienate the world against Israel.

The positive destiny of Israel and Palestine must be a prize worth aiming high for.    All countries are sick at the images of limbless children  and desperately want to help achieve a positive result in Gaza.

The UK still has an embassy in Jerusalem and undoubtedly wants a peaceful solution to the Palestinian question.    With Turkish and UK  help and encouragement,  some old problems could be solved and a positive way forwardast explored.  Eisenkot must grasp this challenge and solve it.
