The actions of the US and Israel are destroying civilisation in the Middle East
The Strait of Hormuz unsurprisingly remains closed. Why did the US think that a ceasefire with Iran could work if the US blocked Iranian ports, and ships bound for Iranian ports? How did the US think that Iran could accept a ceasefire that did not include a ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon? We hear all the time that Lebanon’s Hezbollah is a proxy of Iran!
The belligerence and double speak of the US and Israel are unbelievable! The US and Israel have killed thousands of civilians in Iran and destroyed infrastructure. Now the US threatens to blitz power plants and bridges in Iran. How will that liberate the Iranian people?
Israel has destroyed Gaza and southern Lebanon. Israel has targeted civilians particularly women and children, medical workers, peacekeepers and journalists. When Israeli politicians are questioned about their actions they stonewall. While October 7th 2023 should never have happened it was to some extent not unexpected given that Israel had blockaded Gaza since 2007.
Why does Hamas and Hezbollah keep opposing Israel? For a start Israel displaced Palestinians when the state of Israel was formed. Palestinians who inhabited Palestine for hundreds of years were not given a state. Many Jews say that Palestine should never have been divided. Both Palestinians and Israelis should have coexisted. Was that possible? It should have been if the UK protectorate had been properly regulated and coordinated.
Israel’s policy is to continue war forever until supremacy is achieved in the Middle East. That will never happen. Nobody now can trust Israel. Israel has broken the peace agreements with Gaza and Lebanon. Israel has also attacked Syria. These wars and resulting actions on humanity are completely immoral and condemned by the UN, the Vatican and the International Criminal Court. Israel has unfortunately received arms, drones and bulldozers from the US, Germany and Serbia. The UK has also given Israel some weapons.
Israel has received money from the EU. Efforts in the EU to sanction Israel have been unsuccessful because of some opposing EU members particularly Germany and Austria. Now the people in northern Israel want to continue the war in Lebanon! Do they not see the death and destruction in Lebanon? Israel has precision equipment yet civilians are killed day after day.
The actions of the US and Israel will never lead to lasting peace. The tragedy of arming Israel has been to cause genocide in Gaza, thousands of deaths and displacement in Lebanon and Iran and murder and displacement in the West Bank. Jews in the UK, Australia and the US have unfortunately been targeted in retaliation for Israel’s actions in the Middle East. The arming of Israel has led to the targeting of the Jewish community worldwide.
Civil wars and isolation, with famine and murder, in so many parts of the world have been ignored because of the havoc in the Middle East. The state in which the citizens of Cuba are left in, points to a US administration lacking insight and accountability. The US cannot be hailed as the leader of any world.
Davos spoke about famine and greenhouse gases while the US and Israel tear a world of people, environment, homes and antiquities apart. Hypocrisy, greed, narcissism and dishonesty are rife.
Pakistan and Turkey have tirelessly tried to seek peace in the Middle East, by diplomacy. They should now become the leaders seeking justice for Muslims while an impartial Israeli spokespersonof which there are some honest brokers, should represent Israel. Iran, Gaza and Lebanon must be fully represented and Hamas and Hezbollah must be consulted. It is unfair to brand the latter as ‘murderous terrorist organizations’ when we all see the actions of the US, Israel and Mossad. It is difficult to see who should represent the US but there are many able people in the US who realize that the credentials of the US administration are lacking. Step forward a Democrat who can see the bigger picture. Time is running out for good leaders to salvage some constructive element from a totally unnecessary manmade disaster.
