The EU’s foreign affairs chief met with EU foreign ministers on the 23rd of June 2025. The option to suspend trade between the EU and Israel was postponed for discussion until July. What a cowardly and puzzling action by EU members (with some notable exceptions).
Meanwhile the genocide in Gaza continues and in addition to 56,000 civilian casualties almost 1000 people seeking food have been killed by the IDF using American, UK and EU arms. Violence against children by Israel is unbelievable.
World powers said they did not know what happened in gas chambers during World War II. The World now sees what is happening in Gaza. Genocide must be stopped now. Israel must be sanctioned. Unfortunately there are no world leaders. The US is incomprehensible. The Democrats are silent while the US continues to supply arms to Israel. NATO foolishly fawned over the questionable resolution of the recent unnecessary debacle with Iran. More money will be spent on defence. The arms industry must be thrilled. Environmentalists must be in a state of despair.
Meanwhile Gaza is still suffering with Israel’s blockade, imposed starvation and continuous killing. The UK must take action now. It must be remembered that many Jews were totally against the partition of the British colony of Palestine. Following partition peace has never been achieved. The UK must now insist that reversion to a just and equable two state solution is the only way forward. Hamas must show political acumen and diplomacy to achieve a just solution for Palestinians. Benjamin Netanyahu and his cabinet must be removed. This is not a democratic government. Israel must get out of Gaza and the West Bank. It must stop interfering in Syria, Lebanon and Iran. It must stop its nuclear programme. Israel must be made to obey international law. EU must impose trade sanctions against Israel now. If world leadership does not materialize, war in the middle East will continue indefinitely.
