Israel has broken international law. It seems the intention of the war while nominally to ‘liquidate’ Hamas is really to take control of all Palestine and to intimidate Lebanon in the process. The death toll of civilians , aid workers and journalists is unbelievably high. This war must stop. Benjamin Netanyahu must step down and the IDF must stop misfiring, killing civilians and the Israeli hostages. A previous American president promised to create two equal states in Palestine but for some reason he did not do this. The present US administration will not stop the war and continues to supply arms. Israel’s influence in Congress and on US foreign policy is causing a conflict of interest. While other Arab states are trying to bring about a ceasefire, Britain must intervene and get the Israeli settlers out of the West Bank and the IDF out of Gaza now before the Palestinians are wiped out with war and famine. No country that claims to be a democracy can be allowed to drive civilians out of their homes, kill indiscriminately and have a scorched earth policy. This is barbarity.
