When Britain created the state of Israel, nobody could have envisaged what would happen to the native Palestinians. In 2024 Gaza has been routed, almost 2 million people have been displaced and more than 40,000 people, many of them children, have been killed.  Starvation, disease and injury have decimated the population. This war should have been stopped  in 2023 and hostages returned.  It is clear that the Israeli government cares more about occupation than about the Israeli hostages.   The US has failed to stop Israel’s land grab and to end this war. Can Britain stop this awful carnage and enforce an equable solution?
