The war in Iran is illegal. The US and Israel must stop the senseless destruction now.
The US and Israel have broken all universal laws and treaties. They should be deeply ashamed of their illegal and ill-judged war on Iran. The US unfortunately got dragged into this war by Israel. There is only one way to stop this war.- Concessions and compensation must be given to Iran, Lebanon and Gaza. These must be adhered to by the US and Israel. There must be no double-talk. Iran will then open the Strait of Hormuz.
The unnecessary loss of life is a tragedy. The destruction of infrastructure is illegal. Israel has destroyed Gaza, Lebanon and Tehran. The displacement of the people in Lebanon and Syria is utterly unacceptable.
Israel has killed civilians in Gaza every day since the so-called ceasefire. People are living in tents.
The Israeli army is out of control. Medics, UN peacekeepers, journalists and citizens are targeted without a thought. Israel has destroyed the Lebanese hospitals. Three UN peacekeepers monitoring the border between Lebanon and Israel have been killed. The Israelis have damaged the cameras at UNIFIL headquarters. Civilians, especially women and children are especially targeted. Ambulances in Lebanon are destroyed deliberately by the IDF.
The IDF leader keeps talking about safeguarding Israelis but he is doing the opposite. By killing Muslims and destroying Arab infrastructure, antiquities and culture, Israel is ensuring that hatred of Jews worldwide increases. Israeli people are running into shelters every night but at least they have shelters. The people in Gaza, Lebanon and Iran have no shelters.
Israel has employed bully tactics in the Middle East for many years. Attempts by Shimon Peres to create a Palestinian state in 2011 were sabotaged. Gaza has been under siege since before 2007. Even the Church has been bullied. On Passion Sunday Benjamin Netanyahu prohibited the celebration of Mass by the Patriarch of Jerusalem in the church of the Holy Sepulchre.
The IDF tactics have been exposed by journalists in the West Bank, Lebanon and Iran. Journalists were kept out of Gaza to prevent the world seeing the appalling treatment of the Palestinians. The IDF actions have been exposed by a US TV crew so the Israeli President has been obliged to order an investigation of Palestinian deaths in the West Bank! This is rather late!
Israel‘s ministers have lied and fabricated stories to portray Gazans, Lebanese and Iranians as implacable terrorists while the Israeli government has committed terrorist actions with more than 2500 assassinations attributed to Mossad.
Israel has shown no compassion for the people in Gaza, Lebanon or Iran. Ironically Netanyahu has said that Iran and Israel have been friends since the days of Cyrus the Great! Why then is Israel bombing Iranian civilians, Iranian infrastructure and Iranian universities? Israel will never have the wonderful tradition of learning that Iran has, in spite of all attempts to destroy it.
Israel must stop its policy of aggression. Have the citizens of Israel seen the people of Gaza living in tents? Have they seen the displacement of the Lebanese people? Will the legal system in Israel pass the proposed death penalty for Palestinian terrorists? Unfortunately Israel has no scruples about who it calls terrorists! Israel’s behaviour in Gaza, Lebanon and Iran is savage, unbelievable and utterly primitive. Unfortunately criticism of Israel is labelled antisemitic but the World Press has now documented the utter destruction carried out by Israel with US arms and EU money.
The US is floundering and Israel’s government is full of gangsters. They are not leaders. They are trouble makers. Peace in the Middle East will never be achieved until justice for Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank is achieved.
Israel, the US and the EU leadership have no credibility. President Trump and Israel must step aside and let the Democratic Senate leader along with the Turkish leader try and broker a peace with Iran. Incidentally many credible experts have credited Iranian diplomats of rigidly adhering to their objectives. Compare that with the US who change objectives by the hour!
The Pope looks deeply disturbed by the savagery of war. Gospels emphasise that Christ is King of Israel. How would He view what is happening to innocent civilians in Gaza, Lebanon and Iran?
Israel dragged the US into the Iranian war. Concessions must now be made. If Israel is to live in peace with its Muslim neighbours it must treat the people of Gaza, Lebanon and Iran with respect.
A Peace agreement without justice will not achieve peace.
