The Gaza Peace Deal needs revision
President Trump wants to be all things to all men but is rapidly becoming a liability at home and abroad. Israel too is a liability not only to the Arab states but to Jews around the world who are embarrassed at the sheer brutality of the government in Israel.
The Gaza Peace Deal is totally inappropriate. Real Estate must be forgotten. The people of Gaza need their homes and land restored in a Palestinian State.
Temporary mobile homes or caravans, food, utilities, and schools are the immediate essentials for the people of Gaza while their houses are rebuilt. Palestinian children are dying daily because of cold and starvation. People are holding tin pans to beg for food in 2026! Why are we doing this to our fellow human beings???
The money for rebuilding must come from the US, the EU, Arab states and Israel. The EU must cease worrying about the Islamization of Europe. Once, world concern was overpopulation. A far bigger concern now is the low birth rate.
The focus in Davos seems to be heavily weighed towards AI and capital markets. With declining birth rates in most countries, (Over 70 million abortions are performed annually worldwide while Africa’s population is decimated with war and starvation), will there be anyone left to make money or take AI forward? Davos needs to get real and tackle real problems like building a better future for everyone in a meaningful way. Cruelty, disrespect for individuals and exploitation of African countries are huge concerns.
The US and the EU need to get priorities right.
President Trump seems to be immune to the suffering of the Palestinian people who have to dig through 61 million tons of rubble to find their relatives’ bodies while Israel has acquired sophisticated equipment to find one Israeli body. If there is a peace agreement why does Israel not share equipment with Gaza?
Torture inflicted on Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails has been well-documented byseveral Israeli civil rights groups. In spite of this, the US continues to supply arms and bulldozers to Israel. Although Israel has been given precision equipment, terms of the pseudo ceasefire have been broken by indiscriminate bombing. How many bodies are there under Gaza? How many amputations and synthetic limbs will the children of Gaza need in the future?
The destruction of Gaza with rubble, mines and toxic waste reflects very badly on Israel and the US. The US must stop arming Israel and stop sending bulldozers into East Jerusalem.
The arrogance of Israel must be confronted. How dare Benjamin Netanyahu, wanted for war crimes investigation by the International Court of Justice, make any comment regarding the future of the Palestinian State.
How dare an IDF commander call the Palestinians ‘human animals’.
Israel must get out of Gaza. Israeli settlers must be removed from the West Bank. These have been extremely violent towards the Palestinians while Israeli forces have looked on and done nothing to protect the Palestinians. The International Court of Justice must examine the CCTV footage and arrest these settlers. Israel has no right to be violent in order to procure what does not belong to Israel.
The UN needs respect and honest support from the US to achieve its humanitarian work. Otherwise there is no law or order and no point in having international Agreements.
Israel has blockaded Gaza since 2007. Israel cannot be allowed to dictate terms.
The Board of Peace as presently envisaged will not lead to a just solution for Gaza, the West Bank and the Palestinians. The UK allowed the creation of Israel. The UK and Commonwealth Countries with some EU members must oversee a fair deal for Gaza, the West Bank and the Palestinian people.
