The use of intimidation, starvation and murder of the Palestinian people resembles what happened to the Jews by their former captors. Like the latter, every effort has been made to avoid the world knowing what is going on in Gaza and the West Bank.
Israel has prohibited journalists from entering Gaza. Hospitals have been routed by the IDF and doctors of all nationalities have spoken of the horrors inflicted on children. Pictures have emerged of the cold-blooded shooting of starving adults. Palestinian journalists have shown Israeli settlers in the West Bank shooting Palestinians while the Israeli army takes no action.
Spokespersons from Israel continue to lie about their actions and to claim that there is no shortage of food and medicines! Israel has repeatedly ignored the UN and the International Court of Justice. IDF whistleblowers have been silenced. Have members of the IDF been given drugs to allow them to kill with impunity and with no conscience?
In spite of all the evidence of genocide by Israel, the EU (with notable exceptions) has continued to supply guns and grants to Israel. The US continues to arm Israel and has sent somebody totally unsuitable to dialogue with Hamas. The US ambassador to Israel seems to be out of touch with reality. There are vacuous remarks against imposing any sanctions against Israel when this should have already happened.
The UK has done nothing tangible to intervene although the Balfour Agreement has been at the root of all the trouble in Palestine. BN and his cabinet must be removed now at this late stage. The UK must take action in association with the EU members and perhaps Canada, who have the ability and the will to get a two state solution.
Israel must get out of Gaza and the West Bank. If Israel is not stopped immediately the Palestinian people will die from murder, starvation and disease. When will this ridiculous but very sad situation be resolved? World leaders are pathetic. No wonder the world is in such a mess.
